Basic Informatin: The Word Alive were formed in Phoenix, Arizona, by Escape the Fate’s lead singer Craig Mabbitt. They are currently signed to Fearless Records. Mabbitt created The Word Alive while with Escape the Fate because he wanted to create harder music, like Blessthefall. However, TWA had a desire to tour, but Mabbitt was busy touring with Escape the Fate, so they had no choice but to kick him out. They kicked him out of the band that he started! Mabbitt’s position as lead vocals for The Word Alive was replaced by Tyler “Telle” Smith, formerly the bassist of Greeley Estates. Empire is one of those albums where you have no choice but to listen to the entire thing due to its intensity. The guitar players in this band are extremely talented, as well as the other members.

Bio: Fall 2004 was held the first talk of a team between the two friends, Sergei and Andrei Klimas, Malikov. It was then decided to name the new group "UZURPATOR" During 2005, were prepared by three things (one of which is "Pizdorez-Dobble Trouble»). The first performance group in 2005 in Alexandria. Then there was a lot of moves, because of which the existence of collective impossibly was at a distance. Pause at 2 years was only a catalyst for long-range plans further group. The participants in separately performed for such number you «UNTITLED», «MAGAVIRA», «MOLICIUS», «AGNOZIA".

April 2009 ... Malikov and Climate decide to continue the started back in 2005. In connection with this, retrofitted collective resolve and begin to search for a bass player and vocalist. They were soon joined by Anton Shevchuk (ex Cumshot Diversion), which takes place in the group of singers. Begins work on his own material, which is the output is death-metal. Not a month passes and the boys joined bassist Vlad Pisanenko. It is almost enough material on the fly, and quickly learns a few ready-made compositions. Creates a full-detmetal group. I had to think about renaming. In reserve Malikov was from a text entitled "The colony of perversion," a song later «Colony of Sodomy» discuss all the pros and cons, unanimously approved the name «COLONY OF SODOMY» (Colony perversion) and the track was renamed in «The Colony». In July 2010 the group wrote their first demo, it includes four tracks:

- The Colony

- Denazification

-Problem Child

During 2010, the group collects enough material for live performances, participated in several concerts and festivals including MHM Kiev Style, Slam groove sex.

After much discussion, the group is ready to write her first full length album. Of course READY! -It was decided at a meeting. In July 2011 but the staff began to record.

The period of global change. Change style to become of the elements of groove and core. Because of this Pisanenko, Malikov and Climate decide to change the vocalist for the new style. Shevchuk left the ranks of the count. And then since changed vox and style, it was decided to change the sign and the name of the new SACRIFICE JUSTICE.

The new album comes out on the Czech label NICE TO EAT YOU REC. Under the new name SACRIFICE JUSTICE - Someone Speaks Shit. New vox of band, Max «Thrashmax» Biletsky.

Chi-Cheng is now able to move his leg

As you may or may not know, Chi Cheng (bass player of Deftones) was in a car accident in November 2008 and is currently in a "minimally conscious" state. I launched this website to help raise awareness on Chi's condition and much needed funds to help Chi get the best possible care available and to provide for his personal needs. All donations are transferred directly to the "Chi Ling Cheng Special Needs Trust".

After four years in a coma, DEFTONES bassist Chi Cheng is now beginning to emerge from an unconscious to partially conscious state.

Cheng is now able to move his leg when commanded but is still otherwise unable to move or speak.

HE SERVED AS BAND'S ORIGINAL SINGER ON LANDMARK ALBUM ALIVE OR JUST BREATHING

(New York, NY): Killswitch Engage are pleased to announce that they have filled the singer vacancy in the band and they have done so with a familiar face: original vocalist Jesse Leach.

Leach sang on the band's first self-titled album, which came out in 2000, and on their landmark 2002 Roadrunner debut Alive or Just Breathing. Leach left the band in 2002 and was replaced by Howard Jones, but his work on Alive or Just Breathing has always been revered by diehard, longtime KsE fans. Things have come full circle a decade later, and Leach and the band couldn't be more pleased about this reunion.

The band revealed that Leach auditioned for the job he once held and pretty much blew everyone away and then some. The band stated, "After much deliberation and careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that Jesse Leach has rejoined Killswitch Engage. Our job was to find the best person to fill Howard's shoes: a decision based on talent and not familiarity."

The band further said, "Truth be told, Jesse blew us away in auditions. The room seemed charged with electricity. He commanded both new and old material, and proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he wanted to do this. The choice became very clear and apparent."

The band also is psyched to share the news with fans, saying, "This change is very exciting. We know you're going to love it. This is truly a new era in KsE history and it is ready to shred your face off. So, please help us in welcoming Jesse back into the KsE family; he is a rare and great talent, a fact that older KsE fans have known for years. Here is to a killer new record and a bright future. The five of us cannot wait to write this record and play shows together and bring that feeling to our fans. It's been far too long."

The "new" guy himself also commented on his return to the band after a decade-long absence, saying, "It is a great honor to rejoin my brothers after all of these years. After some discussion and much reflection, it was obvious to me this was the path I was meant to take. We got together and jammed on the 'Howard-era songs,' as well as some Alive or Just Breathing-era songs and we all felt the synergy."

He continued, "I look forward to writing the new record, since the demos sound absolutely amazing, as well as breathing new life and getting comfortable with the soulful songs Howard has written. It is a new chapter of my life filled with new and exciting challenges. I will give all that I can to honor the position I have been given and take nothing for granted. I will sing every note with all of my soul. I am very blessed and very thankful to be back in the KsE family! All things happen in their due time and now is the time for this reunion and new direction."

KsE remain hard at work on their latest album, which follows 2009's second self-titled album.

The band will perform at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest on April 22, 2012. Leach last performed with KsE in March 2010 in New York City, Clifford Park, NY, and Wallingford CT.

They may not be a stand-out band in the Death Metal world for me, but I have always appreciated Aborted’s guttural brand of blood-soaked aggression. On their new album, Global Flatline, the band has exceeded my expectations and made a bludgeoning sledgehammer of an album to start the New Year. Sonically, the album’s atmosphere resembles that of some modern death-core groups, without the stock breakdowns, and with more elaborate death-metal song structures. Unlike some other releases that, as “brutal” as they may be, come off as a lifeless blur, Global Flatline grabs the listener by the throat and bashes him in the face.

Vocalist Sven comfortably switches from mid-range shouting to his VERY strong and guttural death roar. The title track opens with the sound clip “I’m going to fucking rape your soul!” (gets right to the point doesn’t it?) and gets the album off to an excellent start, followed by the band’s latest sing, Origin of Disease. I would also cite Fecal Forgery as a highlight. The song has some of the best riffing on the entire album and more melodic arrangements that make it stand out more than some of the others. Otherwise, the album may lack real variation, but so long as you’re in the mood for riffs, blastbeats, and guts- Aborted delivers 14 songs worth of the good stuff!

Oh, and I also find it hard to insult a band that puts Hellraiser sound bites into their songs, like this one from the final track:

“Your suffering will be legendary…even in Hell”

Black Sabbath’s own Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma and the band have commented on the events below. “With the news that Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, his bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time. Iommi is currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan–the “IRON MAN” of Rock & Roll remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery.

“This comes as Black Sabbath–Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Bill Ward (drums)–are writing and recording their first album in 33 years in Los Angeles (still set for release this fall) with producer Rick Rubin.
